On the first Work Along Sunday of the new academic year we can enjoy the garden in full summer glory. This is the most productive season of the year.
We will do summer maintenance: pruning our berry bushes, plant a few new ones. Feed the garden to optimize summer growth and a rich harvest this fall.
Free cuttings of the spider plant (Chlorophytum comosum – “spinplant” in Dutch) and different mint (Mentha) species are available. Grow them at home or give them away.
Harvest kitchen herbs like chives, lovage (Levisticum officinale, “lavas” in Dutch), cilantro and others. The blackberries are likely to be ready for harvest too.
Please bring a dish to share for lunch.
The TU/e Community Garden Work Along Sunday is open from 10am till 2 pm. Hope to see you soon!
